Savignone,
located on the hills behind
Genoa, is an ideal window on the
both beautiness of mountain and
sea. Genoa is a very wellknown
town and you can find several
websites about its attractives:
here we would like to speak a
little about our small but very
interesting village.
From walking in the chestnut
woods to an excursion to Valnoci
and Brugneto lakes (two
artificial bacins), from a visit
at the ancient "Castello della
Pietra" in Vobbia to a tour of
historical palaces like "Palazzo
Marchionale" (a Fieschi property)
and "Palazzo Crosa di Vergagni".
St. Peter Church and other local
churches have got some important
paintings while architecture
lovers can appreciate the
several liberty buildings of
this area. Please don't
forget a little travel by the
local train of Casella to Genoa
through woods and rocks enjoying
an amazing view.
At least, but not last!, you can
taste the typical ligustic
cooking in a lot of nice
restaurant or in local
country fairs (overall on summer
and fall).
